Per chi si unisse per la prima volta, lasciate che vi racconti la storia che c'è dietro. 

Solo due anni fa ero così felice perchè stavo iniziando un nuovo, magnifico lavoro, che non potevo crederci. 

Avevo dipinto molto dopo aver avuto un bimbo e aver quasi interrotto l'insegnamento, avevo creato un sito-galleria per mostrare il mio lavoro, aperto un negozio online su Etsy, cominciavo a pianificare qualche mostra.

Avevo bisogno di condividere tutto questo con le persone che si sono dimostrate interessate a quello che faccio, e ho scelto il giveaway come modo per festeggiare e dire "grazie". 

E quest'anno siamo al terzo giveaway.

For those who are joining for the first time, let me tell you the story behind it. Only two years ago I was so thrilled I was actually starting a new, wonderful job, that I almost could not believe it.

I had worked hard with painting after having a baby and almost quitting with teaching, I was opening a brand new website to show all my work, running a webshop on Etsy, beginning to display my art in various exhibitions.

I needed to share all this with the people who loved my work and chose the giveway as a means to say "thanks".

This year's giveaway will our third.

E' finalmente arrivato il giorno della premiazione... Siete curiosi! Io si!
Prima però lasciatemi ringraziare tutti quelli che hanno partecipato,
commentato, twittato, linkato eccetera!
Mi dispiace per chi non ha vinto ma per tutti c'è, come ormai da tradizione,
l'appuntamento di novembre con il calendario 2013 da scaricare e regalare ai vostri amici,

E il numero 14 è ... DUCCIO!!!

Vi prego, non sorprendetevi che sia un mio amico, 

come potete immaginare almeno il 60% dei partecipanti lo sono

(e ragazzi, mi dispiace per voi!)

Ma ammetto che questo risultato è una tripla sorpresa,

un po' troppo anche per chi, come me, non crede alle coincidenze.

Innanzitutto perchè Duccio è uno dei pochi uomini che hanno partecipato.

Poi perchè dal suo commento si evince che la determinazione paga davvero.

E infine perchè sempre nel commento si parla di avere una casa propria, 

ma il buon David Byrne ci ricorda che "Home is where I want to be"...

Bravo Duccio, sei partito con piede giusto, e presto a te e a Maija arriverà il pacchetto con le stampe, spero che vi piaceranno e che staranno benissimo nella vostra futura casa!

Don't be surprised that Duccio is a friend of mine,

as you can imagine at least 60% of the participants is

(by the way, I'm sorry for you...)

I admit this winner is a triple surprise to me,

too much even for someone who doesn't believe in coincidences.

First of all, because he's one of the few men who joined the party.

Second, because he was really determined to win the contest.

Third, because in the comment Duccio's talking about having a house of your own,

and David Byrne reminds us that "Home is where I want to be"...
