IN MY STUDIO. Quello che resta. 2013.

Ho già lavorato molto negli ultimi anni su questa serie, 

perchè mi piace riusare i preziosi scarti del mio lavoro, 

sia la carta che i colori.

E questa volta ho sperimentato nuovi colori e collage, 

e anche la carta e le dimensioni sono nuove.

Ho fatto una serie di 10 opere grandi (cm ... x ...) 

e una di 12 piccole (cm... x cm...)

su carta Fabriano Artistico 640gr/mq.

Spero che le foto rendano giustizia al cromatismo.

I've already worked so much on this series over the last few years, 

since I always love to reuse the precious waste of my work, 

both the paper and the colours.

And this time I experimented new colors and collage,

and even the paper and the size are new. 

I created a series of 10 large artworks (...)

and a series of 12 smaller ones (....)

on Fabriano Artistico 640gr/mq paper.

Fall approaching

Si capisce che sta lentamente arrivando l'autunno dal movimento lento del sole, che traccia ombre lunghe con i suoi raggi obliqui. Tramonti ventosi e notti fresche sono già qui, ma non siamo ancora pronti a mettere i sandali, e ci godiamo caldi pomeriggi.

Una nuova stagione sta cominciando, e io cerco nuove energie per creare nuove opere.

You can tell fall is slowly approaching by the slow motion of the sun tracing oblique sunbeams and longer shadows. Breezy sunsets and chilly nights are already here, still we're not ready to put off our sandals and we're so glad to enjoy warm afternoons. 

A new season is beginning, and I'm finding new energies to create new works.

Inaugurazione della mostra per Source a Palazzo Strozzi

Si è inaugurata ieri la mostra preview di Source self-made design 2014, per la quale ho realizzato 10 illustrazioni digitali di altrettanti oggetti presenti a questa seconda edizione. 
Sono molto felice che il mio lavoro sia esposto in un luogo così bello e storico come Palazzo Strozzi a Firenze.
Ringrazio di cuore Source self-made design per l'idea lo Spazio AGORA/Z della casa editrice MANDRAGORA per l'ospitalità offerta. 
Se non ce l'avete fatta a passare, c'è tempo fino al 18 settembre per vedere la mostra e ritirare una copia della brochure con le mie illustrazioni e una cartolina della mostra stessa.

Ciao a tutti,
l'estate porta vacanze ed energie per nuovo lavoro, che questa volta non è acquerello e nasce dalla collaborazione con SOURCE, self made design, mostra interamente dedicata al design autoprodotto, curata da Roberto Rubini che vedrà la sua seconda edizione dall'11 al 18 settembre alla Limonaia di Villa Strozzi, Firenze.
Dal 4 settembre per due settimane saranno infatti in mostra nello spazio AGORA/Z della casa editrice Mandragora di Palazzo Strozzi, nel cuore della città, dieci disegni realizzati da me a mano con tecnologia digitale di altrettanti oggetti creati e autoprodotti da designers italiani e stranieri partecipanti a SOURCE 2014.

Hi everyone,
summer holidays bing fresh energies for new works, this time something different from watercolor painting, and born out of the collaboration with SOURCE, self made design, an ehibition dedicated to young talents, created by Roberto Rubini that will be held September 11 - 18 at the Limonaia di Villa Strozzi, Florence.
Starting September 4th and for two weeks going, ten digital drawings of objects present during Source 2014, will be shown in the AGORA/Z space of the publisher Mandragora at Palazzo Strozzi, in the centre of Florence.

Pronti per una lunga nuotata nel blu? Tuffiamoci nell'acqua e sentiamo il dolce, rinfrescante tocco di questa palette che va dal blu elettrico al turchese verdolino. Sempre affascinata dai colori e dal loro impatto emotivo, sempre cercando un'eco profonda di forme organiche. 

E stavolta le foto sono davvero belle, fatte da un ottimo fotografo e amico in una delle prime domeniche veramente estive di Firenze. Grazie Maurizio Picci.

Are you ready for a long swim into the blue? Let's plunge into the water and feel the sweet, refreshing touch of this palette ranging from royal blue to greeny turquoise. Always fascinated by colors and their emotional impact, always looking for a deep echo of organic shapes. 

And this time I can sport really beautiful pics, by my neighborough, photographer and friend Maurizio Picci during one of the first summer Sundays of Florence.

PATHS #8. Right Concentration.

SAMMA-SAMADHI

RETTA CONCENTRAZIONE.

Questo è spesso tradotto come concentrazione, meditazione. Nessuna di queste traduzioni è adeguata. Samadhi letterariamente significa essere fissato o stabilito, così il primo significato è concentrazione quando la mente è fissata, concentrata su un singolo oggetto.

Full, Integral or Holistic Samadhi, also known as

RIGHT CONCENTRATION.

This is often translated as concentration, meditation, absorption or one-pointedness of mind. None of these translations is adequate. Samadhi literally means to be fixed, absorbed in or established at one point, thus the first level of meaning is concentration when the mind is fixed on a single object. The second level of meaning goes further and represents the establishment, not just of the mind, but also of the whole being in various levels or modes of consciousness and awareness. This is Samadhi in the sense of enlightenment or Buddhahood.

"L'ottavo punto del sentiero è la giusta concentrazione. Spesso siamo assorti e assenti. Le nostre menti sono prese da mille tipi di speculazione mentale. La giusta concentrazione significa invece che siamo completamente presenti nell'ora, nelle cose come sono adesso. Questo può accadere solo se abbiamo un po' di disciplina, che può venire per esempio dalla meditazione."

"Right concentration, or absorption is the eighth point of the path. Usually we are absorbed in absentmindedness. Our minds are completely captivated by all sorts of entertainment and speculations. Right absorption means that we are completely absorbed in nowness, in things as they are. This can only happen if we have some sort of discipline, such as sitting meditation. We might even say that without the discipline of sitting meditation, we can't walk the eightfold path at all. Sitting meditation cuts through our absentmindedness. It provides a space or gap in our preoccupation with ourselves."

Avete mai visto la sezione di arte contemporanea di Art Quid? Questo è il loro motto: "Alla ricerca di Arte, Design e Atiquariato. Trova ciò che mostrano artisti, mercanti ed entusiasti". Come in Etsy, tutti possono postare, così dovrete fare un po' di ricerca per trovare quello che vi piace, e non offre nemmeno pagine curate, ma non si sa mai dove si può trovare quello che ci piace...

Have you ever seen the contemporary art section of Art Quid? Here is their motto: "Hunt for Art, Design and Antiques. Find all kinds of artworks exhibited by artists, art dealers and enthusiasts". Just like in Etsy, everybody can post, so you'll have to do a bit of researching for finding something you like, and it doesn't offer curated pages, but one never knows where you can find your treasure...

RIGHT EFFORT or RIGHT DILIGENCE.

Consciously directing our life energy to the transformative path of creative and healing action that fosters wholeness. Conscious evolution.

"Il sesto aspetto del sentiero è il giusto sforzo. Lo sforzo sbagliato è la lotta. Spesso ci avviciniamo alla disciplina spirituale come se dovessimo migliorare il nostro lato negativo e aumentare il positivo. Combattiamo contro noi stessi e tendiamo ad eliminare ogni tendenza negativa. Ma il giusto sforzo non può significare lotta. Quando vediamo le cose come stanno, possiamo lavorarci, con gentilezza e senza aggressività"
