NEW ARTWORKS. UNICORNS AND VOLCANOES

Dopo aver esplorato il mondo emotivo legato al femminile con i Racconti Rosa non ho potuto fare a meno di approfondire questo argomento infinito.

Le donne hanno il potere di creare la vita, di fabbricare letteralmente le persone, di farle crescere fisicamente e sviluppare psicologicamente, ma queste responsabilità sono sottostimate nella nostra società. 

Alle donne oggi è garantito l'accesso all'istruzione e hanno avuto la possibilità di dimostrare quanto sono brave, ciononostante i loro compensi sono inferiori a quelli dei colleghi maschi. 

Essendo una donna, sento fortemente la necessità di ridefinire l'immagine che abbiamo di noi stesse e scoprire chi siamo, oltre ogni inutile stereotipo e con un occhio amorevole su noi stesse.

After having explored women's emotional world with my Pink Tales, I could not help but deepen and explore this infinite topic.

Women have the power of creating life, of literally making people and make them grow phisically and develop psyhologically but these responsibilities are far too underestimated in our society. 

Women today are granted access to instruction and have had the possibility to show how good they are, still their wages are lower than those of men.

Being a woman, I do feel we need to redefine our self image and discover who we are, beyond any useless sterotype and with a loving eye on ourselves.

E con l'autunno è arrivata anche la pioggia. Peccato perchè ho bisogno di tanta luce per fare le nuove foto. Infatti sto sistemando un po' il negozio perchè sia pronto per i mesi a venire. Ecco alcune foto fatte la settimana scorsa, con quella luce meravigliosa che solo l'autunno regala.

Autumn has finally started pouring rain. And it's a shame because I need a lot o beautiful light fo my new photos. I'm really working hard on my shop, to get it ready for the new season. Here are some of the photos I made last week, with the kind of wonderful light you can only find in october.

Sono felice di presentare una nuova serie di dipinti.
Si chiama PATHS, ed è stata ispirata dal 
Nobile Ottuplice Sentiero indicato dal Buddha. 
La mia arte è per me una forma di meditazione, 
e questi acquerelli scaturiscono dalla riflessione 
sulla Via buddista all'illuminazione.

I'm glad to present a new series of paintings.  
It is called PATHS, and it has been inspired by 
Buddha's Noble Eightfold Path.
My art is to me a form of meditation, 
and these watercolour paitnings are the result
of my meditation on the Way shown by Buddha.

NEW ARTWORKS. Quello che resta. Geometria, Stains, Architecture, Triangles.

In questa primavera produttiva ho lavorato molto con la serie Quello che resta. 

Questi nuovi dipinti saranno esposti alla mostra che si terrà a Ginevra la settimana prossima, e che proseguirà fino a tempo indeterminato nel negozio di ide&oda, sempre a Ginevra.

Questa serie di lavori è realizzata con rimanenze di carte e colori. Le strisce di carta sono state colorate, ritagliate e incollate su carta abbinando i colori in maniera a volte casuale, a volte secondo precise scelte cromatiche. 

Il tema della casualità e del riuso si scontrano con la preziosità dei materiali e della carta di altissima qualità.

In this very productive springtime, I have worked hard on the That What Remains series.

These new paintings will be on display during my next exhibition in Geneve, 

starting next week at the Nest Gallery and then moving to ide&oda shop.

This series of works was created with remains of papers and colours. The strips of paper were coloured, cut and glued on paper matching colours randomly, or according to precise chromatic choices.

The theme of reuse and casualty collide with the preciousness of the materials and paper.

Many events are under construction,
and I wish everything will take place in the new year.

MOSTRE. EXHIBITS. Atelier Il Camino di Fanette Cardinali.

L'Atelier Il Camino si chiama così perché il fulcro della stanza è un bellissimo camino con due sedie di pietra scolpita all'interno del focolare. Il palazzo è antico, come tutto nel Borgo medievale di Citerna. L'artista che cura l'atelier è Fanette Cardinali, di cui vi ho già parlato a proposito delle sue splendide ceramiche, e spesso ospita in questo bello spazio altri creativi.
Stavolta l'ospite sono io, e sono molto felice di esporre gli originali della Serie Studio N°1, e le stampe della stessa serie, fino alla fine di gennaio 2013.

La città medievale di Citerna. The Medieval Town of Citerna.

The name Atelier il Camino is due a the marvellous ancient fireplace. No wonder the building is ancient, it is just like everything in the medieval town of Citerna. I have already mentioned in this blog the ceramist Fanette Cardinali, who is the artist curating this place and organizing events in collaboration with other artists.
I will be the guest until the end of January 2013, and I'm very happy to display the original watercolor paintings of the Series Study N°1 and the prints of the same series.
